Up for sale is a unique bit of watch history; the Bulova Accutron Deep Sea 666 from 1969 (M9).
The development of this electric watch is mythical indeed. It's an engineering feat considered to be advanced enough to be hidden from the russians during the cold war. The Accutron was a complete departure from traditional watches and benefited from lessons learned from Hamilton's hasty release of the Electric. The history of these watches makes them great conversation pieces and great additions to any watch collection.
While this watch is powered by a battery, the tuning fork technology and the extremely small and advanced index wheel produces a flow of the seconds hand unlike any other watch type, in my book, even compared to a Rolex. It has to be experienced!
